The Last Guitar Effects I Will Ever Need

I recently went to Guitar Center looking for a guitar amp that I could use as a USB interface.  They were having a deal where you can buy something on credit and not pay any interest for 12 months.  Sweet deal.

I looked at a few amps that were a little above my price range.  Some other amps had a lot of features but sounded like crap.  I play both acoustic and electric and I do a lot of web development so I wanted the perfect hardware for my needs.

Then I found it - in the accessories department.  The Line 6 POD X3 Live pedal board comes with every imaginable guitar sound that you have ever heard and every capability to create your own sound.

The effects board is ideal for live performance as well as studio recording.  Every standard input and output, and some not-so-standard, mono and stereo are available.  You can even create two sounds simultaneously with your guitar.  As a solo performer I can process my vocals and guitars both through the one small unit and run it though a P.A.

Another great feature is the free GearBox sofware that acts as a GUI and FTP client for the pedalboard.  It is kind of fun to use this colorful graphical tool to get the exact tone you are looking for.

I am really psyched about this new toy, and I might not blog so much in the near future because I will be jamming.
