The Four Types of Prayer
There are four types of prayer. These will be your greatest sources of inspiration:
- PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING : Be appreciative - every event and need can become an offering of thanksgiving.
- PRAYER OF PETITION : Ask for forgiveness and search for the Kingdom to come.
- PRAYER OF INTERCESSION : Jesus came to us to show us the will of the Father. The lives of the Saints show us the will of Christ. In the quiet of your heart ask for all of them to intercede, and little-by-little the mysteries of life will be revealed to you.
- PRAYER OF PRAISE : Recognize God for His own sake. Praise embraces the other forms of prayer and carries them toward Him Who is its source and goal.
Divine inspiration for your music or your art will come when God’s gifts and your acceptance of them are united in dialogue with each other.
