G.K. Chesterton
G.K. Chesterton was an English convert to Catholicism in the early 1900’s. His writing is delightful and extremely orthodox. He covers many genres including fiction, philosophy, history, and social commentary. One of his better known works is a series of mystery stories about a priest named Father Brown.
Chesterton’s essays and stories will educate your Christian intellect while helping you craft your own words. If you are looking for some good witticisms and one-liners for bumper stickers, then Chesterton is your man. He has wonderful advice for all artistis and writers:
“The aim of good prose words is to mean what they say. The aim of good poetical words is to mean what they do not say.”
